Here we show with selected case stories how scent works in real houses.

Traditional 4-star boutique hotel on Lake Lucerne
We met a curious hotelier who always has his finger on the pulse and runs his house with a great deal of creative energy and drive, always looking for the newest, always with the best for his guests in mind. At the same time he runs a house that long struggled to be profitable. He is the first to have achieved that in the long term. No extremely high margins. Hence the decision for an upselling model in the rooms instead of full equipment, plus an offer in the hotel shop.
At the entrance to the spa area a diffuser now welcomes guests with a warm, elegant scent and sets the mood for recovery. In the seminar area, scent is also used as an upsell for resourceful event bookers: an additional diffuser scents the foyer and entrance of the seminar centre, welcomes participants and creates a pleasant mood.
One employee put it in a nutshell: “Finally, it really smells good in here.”
The hotel's new scent concept and in-room wellness offer immediately attracted further attention: the general manager mentioned it in an interview with a trade magazine and spoke about it on a panel at a major gastronomy and hospitality fair.

Renowned hotel management school in Central Switzerland
The head of the school had long been looking for a scent concept that is actually perceptible. She had already run several tests with other providers; none convinced her.
Together we first launched a pilot project with water-based diffusers. With the large number of locations, however, maintenance proved too laborious. Switching to waterless technology solved this: two professional units scent the communal areas, smaller units take care of the individual classrooms, all without water, which minimises maintenance across the many locations.
The choice of scent was differentiated: in the classrooms a scent is used that specifically supports concentration, while in the other areas an elegant signature scent sets the right frame and suits the location. Ingredients were selected with the school's budget in mind, without compromising on quality.
As an additional element, an oil bar was set up: three pure oils for calming before exams and two activating scents against the afternoon or morning low.

Small but fine all-inclusive mountain resort in the Bernese Oberland
The hotel already relied on natural products with essential oils. One of our scents convinced the manager: she chose it for the corridors and the main spa area. She also bought individual blends for the sauna to offer variety across the seasons.

Fairs and events
Yoga meets Weggis, autumn festival 2025
Right on Lake Lucerne: our first B2C appearance. Casa Cafaro was one of the main partners; we gave all participants goodie bags, advised them personally on site and equipped the hotel rooms with our offer. The yoga teachers were so enthusiastic that they integrated our oils directly into their classes.
Nearly New Bridal pop-up
The location: beautiful. The neighbour: a pigsty, right by the stairs to the back entrance. Wedding dress meets pigsty, no dream wedding for the nose. Our job: not to mask, but to clean up. The old smell had to go, a new scent moved in. And because it went so well, we were invited to join with our own stand, side by side with names like Dr. Hauschka.
