Privacy policy
Version of 21 September 2026. DRAFT, to be reviewed by Casa Cafaro.
The following information shows you which data we process on our website and which rights you have in this respect. The protection of your personal data is important to us, and we process your data only in accordance with the legal provisions. Personal data means all information relating to an identified or identifiable person.
1. Legal basis
This privacy policy is designed to meet the requirements of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and any applicable foreign data protection law, such as the EU GDPR.
2. Controller
Responsible for data processing on this website is Casa Cafaro, sole proprietorship Alessandra Cafaro, Flurweg 33, 3072 Ostermundigen, Switzerland. Please address data protection concerns to kontakt@casacafaro.ch.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted in Switzerland by Kreativmedia GmbH, Riedstrasse 7, 8953 Dietikon (kreativmedia.ch). When the website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically stores connection data in log files: IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL. This data serves security and trouble-free operation and is deleted after a short time.
4. Cookies
We use only technically necessary cookies, which do not require consent: a session cookie for the shopping basket (deleted when the browser is closed), where applicable a cookie for the language setting and, until the website launches, a preview cookie for access to the unpublished site. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser; individual functions such as the basket will then not be available.
5. Audience measurement
We collect anonymous, server-side usage statistics (pages accessed, origin, device type) without cookies and without transmission to third parties. IP addresses are not stored. It is not possible to draw conclusions about individual persons.
6. Contact form
If you write to us via the contact form, we process the data you provide (first name, surname, e-mail, telephone, company, message) in order to answer your enquiry. Processing is based on your enquiry or our legitimate interest in answering it. The data is stored on our server and deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
7. Online shop and orders
For orders in the online shop we process the information required for fulfilment: name, billing and delivery address, e-mail, telephone, items ordered, chosen shipping and payment method. We use this data to fulfil the contract, for shipping via Swiss Post and for accounting. We retain order data for ten years in accordance with commercial law. The shipping provider receives the address data required for delivery.
8. Payment via Stripe
Card payments, TWINT, Apple Pay and Google Pay are processed via Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland. Payment takes place on a page hosted by Stripe; your payment data (for example card number) is processed exclusively by Stripe and never reaches our server. Stripe receives from us the order number, amount, e-mail address and the names of the items. Stripe may transfer data to countries outside Switzerland and the EU and relies on the standard contractual clauses for this. Further information: stripe.com/privacy.
9. E-mail
We send confirmations of enquiries and orders by e-mail via our hosting provider. E-mails may be transmitted unencrypted; for confidential messages please contact us by telephone.
10. External links and embedded content
Our website links to Instagram, LinkedIn and other third-party websites. When you click on them, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. We do not use embedded third-party content.
11. Your rights
You have the right to information about the data stored about you, to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing and to data portability. Please contact kontakt@casacafaro.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
12. Changes
We may amend this privacy policy at any time. The version published on the website applies.
