A nose for what matters

Five megatrends changing the hotel industry, and what scent has to do with them
Impressing well-travelled guests is demanding. Giving them something that lingers beyond their stay, even more so.
That takes a feel for what moves guests today, quite literally a good nose. Five developments have particularly inspired our concepts and products.
Longevity: living well for longer
Longevity does not simply mean living longer, but staying healthy, active and fulfilled for longer. Even when travelling, guests pay attention to sleep, recovery and concentration.
We call it biohacking light in the room: a small selection of oils that accompanies guests as they relax, fall asleep and get going. For the quiet evening, the alert morning, the focused meeting.
And the bedtime treat? No sugar, no chocolate. Instead, a roll-on lies on the pillow, a gift that really does good. If guests take it home, they carry a piece of the hotel with them. And every breath awakens the memory of the house.
Personalisation: every guest is different
Every guest arrives in a different mood. One wants to switch off, another wants to work.
With different roll-ons and diffuser blends, guests turn their room into the oasis they need right now. They choose for themselves, try things out, discover. That makes the stay personal, without extra work for the staff.
Quiet luxury: quality you can feel
Luxury is defined less and less by big names and logos. Guests look for calm, authenticity and quality that needs no explanation.
A scent made from pure natural oils fits this exactly. It does not impose itself, but works in the background.
And it is a piece of Swissness: bottled by hand in Switzerland, produced sustainably and with social responsibility. A quiet luxury defined by its effect.
Clean beauty: guests read labels
More and more guests pay attention to ingredients, origin and packaging. For them, this is part of a high-quality experience.
Our oils are 100 % pure and natural, each one declared by name. The packaging is recyclable. On request, we take back empty roll-ons and bottles and give them a second life, for example in our workshops.
Emotionalisation: scent as memory
Scents anchor feelings. The sense of smell is directly connected to the limbic system, the seat of our emotions and memories. That is why a distinctive scent conjures up images of a place even years later.
This is how a signature scent becomes a hotel's trademark. Hotels in Mexico and the Emirates already use essential oils this way. In Switzerland, only a few houses do so far.
From trend to experience
Trends come and go. What remains is the question of how a guest feels in a house.
Scent answers this question quietly but lastingly. Those who start now will be among the first in Switzerland to use it consistently.
Frequently asked questions
Is a scent concept worthwhile for small businesses too? Especially for them. Whether boutique hotel, practice or shop: small businesses live from their personality. A signature scent makes them unmistakable.
What does a roll-on cost as a welcome gift? The price depends on the ingredients. Some oils are precious: 5 ml of genuine rose oil costs over 300 francs.
How does the return of containers work? On request, we take back empty roll-ons and bottles. We reuse them, for example in our workshops. This way less ends up in the bin.
